Remove objects from photos on Android in Chrome
Open the eraser in Chrome on Android and pick a photo from your gallery — no app install and nothing uploaded. Most Android cameras save JPEG by default, which loads directly. On phones without WebGPU the eraser falls back to WASM, which is slower but gets the job done even on budget devices.

Open the free eraser →How to do it
- Open the eraser in Chrome and choose a photo from your gallery or files.
- Tap the object to select it, or paint over it with your finger.
- Tap Erase and check the result with the before/after slider.
- Download — the file saves to your Downloads folder.
Tips for a cleaner result
- If your camera is set to HEIF/HEIC (some Samsung models offer this), switch back to JPEG — HEIC isn't supported.
- Close other heavy apps before erasing on low-RAM phones.
- Use a small brush near your subject's edges to avoid regenerating them.
FAQ
Why is the first erase slow?
The first time, the browser downloads the inpainting model (about 27 MB) and caches it. After that, it loads from your device.
Does it use mobile data every time?
No. Once cached, the model isn't downloaded again, and erasing works offline.
